Defensive Driving Course
All our Year 11 & 12 student drivers are invited to participate in the Safe Drive Test Drive course. This one-day driver awareness course is aimed at young and novice drivers. It involves lectures, demonstrations, presentations and in-car hands-on driving experiences all based on extensive research into accidents involving young drivers.

Date: Tuesday 12 November (7.30am-5.00pm)
License: L or P plates (can comfortably control vehicle)
Location: Mt Cotton (travelling by school bus)
Cost: $205 (usually substantially more as an individual)
China Trip 2020
Date: 25 March – 6 April 2020
We still have a couple of places left for next year’s China Trip for students in Years 7-10 (2020). This trip is a wonderful opportunity to experience authentic Chinese culture.

Year 9 Maths Class Excursion
Mr Woolston’s Year 9 Maths class are going to QUT on Thursday, 14 November for a two part excursion:
Part one: Green energy and big data. In this half-day workshop, students will see how maths and engineering can work together for a greener built environment and take a tour of QUT’s ‘5-Star Green Star’ Science and Engineering Centre.
Part Two: Modelling science data. This workshop investigates how technology fits a curve to data. Students collect real data using motion sensors, and learn how to fit mathematical models to represent the data.
Year 12 Events
There are a number of events taking place to celebrate our Year 12 students as they graduate from Secondary School in Term 4.
Life Massive Summer Camp
“No Ordinary Life” is Youth Alive’s 2020 conference held at the Gold Coast Convention Centre. Life Massive has partnered with Youth Alive conference for a number of years to see great momentum built into the year ahead.
This year’s conference has a world-class line up including:
- Chris Estrada (Youth for the nations director, USA)
- Russel Evans
- Sam Long
- Pastors Cam and Renee Bennet (Youth Alive Directors)
- Isaiah Simmons
This is going to be an amazing few days with food, friends and fun. Life Massive is staying on site at the venue in air-conditioned rooms fully supervised by our trained leaders.
Gold Coast Convention Centre and Exhibition Centre
Life Church Christmas Box
This year, Life Church is partnering with LIFE NZ to support families in need and ensure they enjoy and share this special time of year with family and friends. Each Christmas Box will cater to a family of 4-6 people, to help supplement meals over a week, covering breakfast, lunch and dinner.
This year across our locations, Life Church will pack and deliver 1000 Christmas Boxes to families. This is a practical way to reach, connect and love our community.
We would love your help to make this a reality. Come and volunteer on December 7th between 8:30-12 to help pack boxes in collaboration with our community. Whether you can come for an hour or 3, register now to let us know you’re coming. There’s a free BBQ lunch afterward too!
