Junior Strings Make Us Proud at Music Fest
On Saturday, 26 October, 23 of our dedicated Junior String Ensemble students represented Brisbane Christian College at Music Fest, a well-respected competition hosted by Prestige Music. With students from Years 1 to 3, our ensemble was the youngest in the section, but still managed to achieve a Silver Award, with the adjudicators marking them particularly highly for their stage presence and presentation. Special mention was made of our one ‘noble’ cello player, Sang Buffini, who maintained his part well against the violins. The experience of performing in such a professional setting was invaluable for our youngest performance group, and the future of our Strings Program looks bright in the care of such enthusiastic young musicians, and the inspiring Miss Holm. A very proud ‘congratulations’ goes to each and every one of the young performers.
