On Thursday, 5 March the Year 12 cohort will be hosting a Bake Sale at the Middle and Secondary Campus during morning tea. The proceeds of this will go to funding a range of Year 12 end of year activities, including Reflections Camp (the College’s positive alternative to Schoolies). Students will be able to purchase a sweet treat for $1 – $5.
Leo Club Fundraising
Mr Andrew Ashton and the Leos Club were at the Middle and Secondary Swimming Carnival raising funds. Throughout the day they were on the BBQ and Snow cone machine. They raised over $300 which is an awesome achievement. Thank you everyone that supported Leo Club on the day.

ICAS 2020
Brisbane Christian College is delighted to once again be offering ICAS testing as an option to interested parents and students. ICAS testing offers parents the opportunity to have their child’s progress assessed on a national scale. A detailed breakdown of strong and weak areas is also provided. Distinction and High Distinction certificates are given out at Awards Evening.
These tests are an optional choice by parents. They are not compulsory, and are not a requirement of our College-based assessment. They have a cost of $15.95 per test which is the price set by UNSW, and is not covered by regular College fees. All tests are held in August 2020 during school hours.
Please see the table below for the year levels eligible to sit each type of test. Invitations for each test have been added to each eligible child’s Parent Lounge profile.
Please accept the invitation and pay the registration cost for each test you would like your child to sit.
Parent Lounge registrations are to be completed by Friday, 26 June 2020 (end of Term 2).
If you wish to do some practice questions before the tests, you can download these yourself from the website at: ICAS ASSESSMENTS/ UNSW GLOBAL.
If you have any questions regarding this opportunity, please contact
Primary: Mrs Alison Collins at acollins@brisbanechristiancollege.com.au

Cambodia Missions Trip
In July we have a team of 22 travelling to Cambodia to partner with RAW Impact in their efforts to ‘give a voice to those who have none and creating powerful change in Cambodian villages’. We will be participating in a number of community development projects including building a home for a family living in a slum and an agricultural initiative.
Please join us in praying for our team as they prepare for this journey.
Each team member is responsible for raising $1000 towards building and project costs. If you are interested in supporting a student in this way, please follow this link and click on the ‘top supporters’ tab to find a list of all the team members. All payments are tax deductible.
