POSTPONED – Cross Country 2020

POSTPONED – Cross Country 2020

UPDATE 18/03/20 College Cross Country scheduled for this Friday, 20 March has been postponed. The Department of Education has also made the decision to cancel representative school sport programs which include:

  • Gala sports days
  • district, regional, state, national, interstate and international competitions
  • Queensland School Sport team participation in any national, interstate or international events organised across Australia or internationally.

Our annual College Cross Country is coming up on Friday, 20 March. All students from our little Preppies to Year 12s will take part in some fun, fitness and fundraising for Run4Bibles.

The day will be split into three age groups to reduce gathering sizes as a precautionary measure.

All Primary students will be transported up to Middle and Secondary Campus and return to Primary Campus via Brisbane Christian College bus fleet at various times to stagger the amount of students on site. Primary students are to wear House shirts and provide lunch for your child as per a normal day at school. Children will be provided additional time to eat at morning tea and lunch if these break times are affected by the carnival times. Primary Canteen will be available during normal hours.

The Canteen on Middle and Secondary Campus will be open all day.

LEOs Fundraising

Due to logistics of the split carnivals, the food and fundraising for the Leo club has been cancelled. All families who have already placed a pre-order will be contacted directly.

For every $7 raised, Bible League will provide a pack for students in South African Public Schools including a Bible and biblical resources. After the Cross Country, we will allow two weeks for students to complete their fundraising booklets. All money must be collected by the final week of Term 1 (last day Friday, 3 April).

Sponsors can make payments through two methods:

1) Cash to the sponsored student
2) Pay directly online at Please include the student’s name and school in the ‘My Donation is for’ box e.g. John Smith, Brisbane Christian College.

Each year we hope to create a day of fun for the students and their families, so we invite parents and family members to attend this event to help cheer on the participants. If you would like to volunteer on the day, please contact Mr Allen-Ankins at
