From the Deputy’s Desk
We are all very much aware of the opportunities that our children have taken up in 2018, with overseas adventures, aviation programs and the chance to excel in a number of platforms. A personal highlight for me this year was the China Trip, where we were able to share the love of Christ with a variety of Chinese people throughout our cultural activities. With diligent prayer, I believe that God will increase this opportunity for Brisbane Christian College in the years ahead.
I have a great sense, however, that it is more important to be mindful and grateful for the way our God has not only sustained us, but has truly provided beyond our needs. We have experienced such abundant blessings in such a short space of time. Brisbane Christian College is His College. As the community of Brisbane Christian College, we are His as well.
It is my deepest belief that God has prepared us for these times, affording us the capacity to put in place effective frameworks in the form of our House systems, academic systems and support processes. We use these blessings to truly underpin the needs of the new families joining our College. I am excited that the journey has just begun, and I wait expectantly for what the Lord has in store for us in the years ahead. For families that have been with the College for a number of years now, thank you for entrusting the care of your children to us.
In closing, I would like to acknowledge the achievements of our 2018 graduates. You are all leaders and have made a significant contribution to your College. Each one of you, along with your parents, will be missed. I know it has been said before, but I, along with all the other members of staff, are all the richer for the time that we have spent with you. Please know that you are always welcome back at Brisbane Christian College—it will remain your home. I look forward to hearing of all your successes in the years ahead. Congratulations, class of 2018!
