2019 ICAS Changes

Term 3 2019

Brisbane Christian College is delighted to once again offer ICAS testing in 2019. These tests are an optional choice by parents. They cost $15.95 per test, which is not covered by regular College fees. The registrations and payments are done through Parent Lounge. Please note the cut off dates for registration. After these dates, registrations will be closed and no further registrations will be accepted.

ICAS testing offers parents the opportunity to have their child’s progress assessed on a national scale. A detailed breakdown of strong and weak areas is also provided. Distinction and high distinction certificates will be given out at Awards Evening. In 2019, the tests will be online so you will not receive question papers with the certificates as in previous years.

ICAS tests are administered by the University of New South Wales (UNSW) and the sitting dates are determined by the UNSW. If your child is away on the day of the test, they will unfortunately miss out. Costs are not refundable. As a College, we are required to register students by the dates also set by the UNSW so please get your application in by the dates given below, if you are interested in this opportunity. ICAS testing is not compulsory and is not a requirement of our College based assessment.

These are the closing dates for application to sit the tests and the sitting date set by the UNSW. No applications can be accepted after the closing dates. Please do this through your Parent Lounge account. Please note that tests are registered by the College and not by you individually. All tests this year cost $15.95 each (GST inclusive), which is the price set by the UNSW.

You are encouraged to register and pay through on Parent Lounge as early as possible. Please note that this is an extra cost and that payment is required by the dates for close of registrations given above.

Again, this is an optional test and will not affect your child’s assessment at Brisbane Christian College.
