The Best Holistic Results
Our children have had a great start to the 2019 school year on the back of the best holistic results our College has ever received over its 34-year history. We give thanks to Jesus for the excellent teamwork experienced between our 2018 Seniors, parents and Ministry Team which enabled our children to reach heights not achieved before. All 2018 Seniors who applied for higher education studies were offered positions, and over 17% of our Seniors gained an OP 1 or 2.
Throughout 2018 over 100 children asked Jesus for forgiveness and asked HIM to become their Lord and Saviour. Our co-curricular programs experienced record numbers of children participating. Mrs Deane, Mrs Waldeck, Mr Marsden, Mr Johnston and Mr Allen-Ankins continue to provide excellent opportunities for our children to develop life-long skills, friendships and to be known for their unique abilities as they give back to their College community. We are committed to connecting, loving and inspiring your child as we partner together.
Our team have intentionally implemented a range of initiatives over the last couple of years to ensure that every child is known by name. We can honestly state that no other school community will love our children more than Brisbane Christian College. These initiatives are developing dynamic relationships across our community and include:
- The introduction of our whole-school approach to increasing our conflict resolution skills underpinned by the BRIDGE BUILDERS® program for parents, staff and children. This is providing the necessary framework and skills to see our families flourish into the future.
- Our new Smart Relationships Program led by Peter Janetzki for our parents and Years 4 to 12 children has been positively received and is another clear strategy to empower our parents and children to become all that Jesus desire of them.
We desire to have the greatest impact on our children’s lives through developing deeper meaningful relationships with each and every child and with every mum and dad in our community. We believe this is one of the Lord’s strategies in seeing a Christ-centred community come alive through us.
