Chess Mates is back at Brisbane Christian College in term 4!

Chess Mates specialises in teaching chess to children of all age groups and skill levels in a fun and engaging way! We don’t focus on winning — in fact, we teach kids how to understand and deal with winning and losing to improve their social and emotional development. At Chess Mates, our tutors are dedicated to helping kids learn the ancient game of chess while making new friends and learning life skills!

Classes are held on Thursday from 3:15 to 4:00pm in the STEM Lab. The cost of the class is $10 per lesson.

If you have any questions or would like to enrol, please email or call us on 1300 Chess Mates

Primary Library End of Borrowing

Borrowing for Primary School children will finish on Wednesday, 20 November 2019. Classes will borrow books to take home up until 3:15pm on this date, and over the next couple of weeks will return all library books. This can be done in children’s regular library lesson time, lunch breaks, or before school from 8:30am.

Overdue slips will be issued periodically to help you remember which titles to look for. These will come home in your child’s diary.

As summer creeps closer please be diligent to ensure that all books are transported to and from school in a green homework bag or a blue library bag to prevent water damage from drink bottles.

We hope that your children have enjoyed reading and learning in the library this year. We encourage you to investigate your free local council library over the holiday break to continue your child’s reading journey. Any questions or concerns can be directed to Mrs Collins by phoning reception, or email:
